All Honey Source organic honey is certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI) and carries the USDA organic seal. It is made without the use of GMOs and is certified kosher by the Orthodox Union
But being organic goes deep than a label. Produced and harvested in a sustainable manner, our organic honey is healthier for bees, healthier for people, and healthier for the plant. By choosing to offer organic bulk honey we are furthering our visions of a healthy world where bees and people thrive.
The Challenge of US Sourced Organic Honey
Producing organic honey in the United States is astonishingly difficult. Unlike organic produce or dairy, honeybees can’t be confined to one field or farm. They forage up to five miles from their hives, meaning certification requires every flower they visit to be free from pesticides, herbicides, and GMO crops. In the U.S.—where industrial agriculture dominates most landscapes—this is nearly impossible.
And the challenges don’t stop at certification. American beekeepers are grappling with a rapidly shifting industry. The days of keeping bees solely for honey are fading. Instead, beekeeping has become a service industry—driven by the need to truck millions of hives across the country to pollinate monoculture crops like almonds, berries, fruits, alfalfa and clover.
